Lynn, formerly known as Beast Tamer, is a duo focused support type character. Lynn has good mobbing and ok solo bossing. She really shines during party bossing, especially duo bossing. What you get with Lynn is consistent heals, FD buff, overheal shield, damage reduction, party teleport, and IED buff. Beware, she has a lot of different skills to use so your keyboard layout will be important to figure out. You should make a Lynn even if you aren’t planning on maining her or making her a boss mule because of the Link Skill and Legion Block. One of the best in slot link/legion block for bossing and you shouldn’t go without it. Only do this if you're just helping out your friend and don't care about drops or reaching 5% damage. Other wise you'll want to build a boss mule the normal way with Abso/Acrane, and unique 2 lined gear. Lynn Beginner Skills In the Beginner tab there will be a skill called Focus. This is an important skill that lets you choose any ally to give your buffs to. You can only choose 1 ally at a time and who you choose will be important in a party scenario. Strike is your main mobbing/bossing skill. This skill will get passively buffed and overwritten at each job so it stays with you forever. [Focus] Heal is a skill that gives you and an ally a continuous heal buff over time. At 4th job this skill will get boosted and will also give you and your ally extra Attack and Magic Attack. Make sure to cast skill before bursting for maximum damage. Spirit Guide Unity: Pan is a passive stackable FD buff that activates when Pan hits an enemy. Easy to stack since you’ll always be hitting an enemy with Strike. All the guardians have a passive skill like this and it is very easy to upkeep the passive buff, you just have that guardian hit an enemy which your other 2 guardians will do automatically. Easy to keep up since Penni will attack on her own with Peck. Forest Wind is a passive buff that helps with MP management and permanent Attack Speed. Decent for mobbing and taking care of 1 platform but cannot multi plat. It has a short duration so might not be the most useful. [Focus] Support Flight is a special skill that allows you to teleport to an ally or bring an ally to your location. It has limited range but should work in most bossing scenarios. Sneak Attack is a toggle skill similar to Peck where Paeon will attack on its own. In order to get Paeon to attack you must use an attack from another guardian like Strike. Deals extra damage while bossing and can help you mob by finishing off low HP targets. Purify is used for bossing in order to cleanse you and your allies. Really good skill for bosses with a lot of status effects. Just keep in mind you can only cleanse 5 harmful effects per cast which is usually more than enough. Spirit Guide Unity: Paeon is a passive stackable FD buff that activates when Paeon hits an enemy. Easy to keep up since Paeon will attack on its own after you use your own attacks. Support Flight is like [Focus] Support Flight. The difference is you will bring all party members to your current location. Predator’s Blow is mainly for bossing since it applies a debuff that lets you and your party deal 10% more damage. Make sure to always have it applied, especially right before burst for maximum value. Mother Nature’s Touch is another one of Lynn’s healing abilities. Raid is a short cooldown mini burst skill. Aura of Destiny is an active buff mainly used for bursting [Focus] Forest Protection creates a bubble zone where you take less damage and can even resist 1 Hit KO moves. Really important when bossing and can save you and your party from certain death. Lynn 5th Job Skills When you reach level 200 you’ll get access to your V Matrix and new 5th job skills. They are there to level up your 1st - 4th job skills past their initial cap. You’ll want to level up the most useful skills for your class and those will form your perfect trios. For Lynn these are the perfect nodes you’ll want to look for, Primary NodeSecondary NodeStrikeEarth Pulverization and RoarPeckSweep and WhirlwindSneak AttackPredator’s Blow and Raid If making a main you’ll want both primary and secondary nodes. If you’re making a boss mule and want to save some slots you just need the primary. Easy to get your perfect nodes since she has no useless skills in the boost pool. An explanation of perfect trios and full list of all classes and their perfect trio nodes here. All Useful 5th Job Skills for Lynn These are all the skills you’ll need to get the most out of Lynn. Any other skills are not useful and can be disassembled. Do not level up your Decent skills past level 1 unless you’re at the end game and min/maxing to get an extra 5 stat at max level. At level 1 all your decent skills have 100% uptime since the duration will be longer than the cooldown. Holy Symbol is the only exception since you’ll get more exp and drop rate as you level it. Lynn 5th Job V Matrix Node Slot Priority Boost Nodes Level 1 Decent Sharp Eyes, Decent Combat Orders, Decent Speed Infusion [Focus] Awaken Beast’s Rage + Beak Strike Nature’s Grace Maple World Goddess Blessing Level 20 Erda Nova Power of Destiny Maxing the skills in this order (except decents) is also ideal for bossing but if you want to get better training rates I would suggest putting more focus on Boost Nodes, Decent Holy Symbol, and Erda Shower. If you’re making a purely supportive bossing mule to help your teammates you’ll want to max [Focus] Awaken and Nature’s Grace first. Lynn 6th Job HEXA Skills The HEXA matrix is split up into Skill Node (6th job Origin skill), Mastery Node (enhances 4th job skills), Boost Node (5th job enhancement), and Common Node (Job specific skills) You’ll get your 1st Origin skill for free once you finish the quest line and the rest you’ll have to unlock yourself. For party play focus Lynn you’ll want more in [Focus] Awaken and then Nature’s Grace. Party focus is much more important in the late/end game especially for a class like Lynn where her main skills are support focused. If you’re a solo progression player there are infographics online and in the Lynn discord that you can follow. Lynn 6th Job Hero HEXA Stat Priority For Lynn, your 1st HEXA stat node, you’ll want Main Stat: Attack Additional Stat: STAT Additional Stat: Critical Damage HEXA stat is an RNG type system and it doesn’t matter what you get in the beginning since it is not worth it to reroll until your entire 6th job is maxed. Once it gets to level 20 leave it there and no matter what you got it would still be at least a 2-3% FD gain.
