If you’re returning to MapleStory you’ll find out that getting Gollux coins has changed. The important things to know now are, it takes longer to get your Gollux equips, 2 Pendants no longer fulfil your set effect, and you only have 1 chance a day to clear Gollux.
The best way to get Gollux coins is to beat Hellux daily and you’ll get around 20-40 coins.
Which stage drops gollux coins?
The only stages that drop the advanced gollux coins are Hard and Hell Gollux.
How many coins does Hard Gollux Drop now?
The amount of coins dropped is the same as before, around 20 coins.
How many coins does Hell Gollux Drop now?
Hellux drops around 20-40 advanced gollux coins depending on how much drop gear you have.
How many times can you fight gollux?
Gollux can only be done once per day, win or lose. The old method of carrying people by leaving before destroying the heart cannot be done anymore. As soon as you leave, your run will be used.
What Range and IED do you need for Hard / Hell Gollux?
Gollux is harder than it used to be. The main changes were to its HP, Lvl Requirement (lvl.180), and some boss mechanics (Breath is a bit larger). A good range to be able to clear hard gollux is 2 mil and up. An IED of 85%+ is also necessary.
The most important thing when it comes to bossing is really the mechanics. With good mechanics you won’t need as much stat and range to clear the boss.
What items does Gollux drop?
Gollux has also changed when it comes to what can potentially drop after defeating the heart.
Easy Gollux drops (Cracked) Ring, Pendant, Belt, and Earrings.
Normal Gollux drops (Cracked + Solid), Ring, Pendant, Belt, and Earrings.
Hard Gollux drops (Cracked + Solid + Reinforced) Belt and Earrings only.
Hell Gollux drops (Cracked + Solid + Reinforced + Superior) Belt and Earrings only.
If you’re doing Gollux make sure to have a set of drop gear so you can get the most coins and equips. You’ll need drop gear anyways to get the most nodes as possible when farming in Arcane River. Higher level Nodes will be very important when trying to raise your damage.
Should you do Easy/Normal Gollux if you can’t beat Hard/Hell?
If you can’t find a guild or friend that doesn’t need the coins and will take you on the run, it is a very good idea to just do Easy or Normal and get the accessories to get stronger. Also you can transfer your gear so it isn’t a total waste to invest a bit into it.
Cracked > Solid > Reinforced > Superior
Another important thing about the equips is that the set effect requirements are different now. You cannot wear two pendants to fulfill the set. This means you have farm coins for both the Superior Ring and Pendant and ideally get the Belt and Earrings from drops.
How To Do Gollux Prequests post revamp
One of the few good things that came with the revamp is that the prequests are now gone. You only have to be 180+ and accept the quest [Gollux] The Cracks of Corruption. After a bit of talking you’ll have access to Gollux.
