How To Get Arcane Umbra Equipment Easy Guide – MapleStory

Arcane Umbra gear is going to be the next step after Absolab gear. If you are looking to push your main character and possibly solo or do significant damage to hard bosses, you’ll want to move from Absolab to Arcane Umbra. It will take around 18 weeks or 5-6 months to get the 5 set if you are just doing normal lucid/will.

If you can get hard lucid/will carries or parties it can be a lot faster since those bosses can drop the equipment directly. Normal Lucid and Will do not drop Arcane Umbra gear. More on the requirements to get into these bosses below.

How To Get Arcane Umbra Gear?

Getting Arcane Umbra gear is similar to obtaining Absolab gear. If you don’t know what that is, you shouldn’t be looking to move into Arcane Umbra till you get that. Guide for Absolab Gear. The differences are that the etc items you’ll need to obtain are not gained from quests and the bosses you’ll need to defeat are Lucid and Will.

For 5 set Arcane Umbra, you will need 324 Arcane River Droplets, 36 Butterfly Stone Droplets, 324 Stone Origin Droplets, and 36 Stone Cobweb Droplets.

Where To Find Droplets for Arcane Umbra

ItemImageHow To Obtain
Arcane River Droplet StoneMobs in Lachelein, Arcana or General Store in regions past Lachelein
Butterfly Droplet StoneDefeating Normal/Hard Lucid
Stone Origin DropletMobs in Esfera, Sellas, Tenebris or General Store in regions past Lachelein
Stone Cobweb DropletDefeating Normal/Hard Will

The best way to get Arcane River Droplets/Stone Cobweb Droplets is to purchase them from the Merchant in regions past Lachelein. They are hard to find as drops from mobs even if you have a ton of drop rate. They cost 50 mil per droplet. You will need 108 droplets per piece except for the weapon which will need 216 droplets.

The reason it is better to buy the droplets is because you want to be efficient with your training and going to higher areas. Once you move past Arcana you will not see Arcane River droplets anymore and your level training will get stunted. The higher areas you go, the better the meso rates are anyways.

If you’re playing in Reboot, these droplets are tradable within account. So, if you find them on your mules you can put them in the storage to fund your main character.

The only way to get Butterfly Droplets/Stone Cobweb Droplets is to defeat the bosses Lucid and Will. Only difficulty of normal (1-2 drops) and higher will result in a droplet. Easy mode drops almost nothing.

How To Get Phantasma and Arachno Coins

Phantasma Coins are obtained by trading 9 Arcane River Droplets plus 1 Butterfly Droplet with the NPC, Kanto in Lachelein

Arachno Coins are obtained by trading 9 Stone Origin Droplets plus 1 Stone Cobweb Droplet with the NPC, Kanto in Esfera.

If you have extra of one droplet compared to another, you can talk to Kanto to trade in one droplet for another. This only works for Arcane River/Stone Origin not the boss droplets.

Ideal Items To Purchase From Each Shop

When it comes to the gear you want to get up to the 5 set. You’ll want the Arcane Umbra Weapon, Cape, Glove, Shoe, and Shoulder. At this point your CRA gear should be 21 or 22 stars so you’ll keep that 3 set of Hat, Top, Bottom.

If you get into normal Lucid and Will parties around the same time you’ll want,

Lucid Shop, NPC Dimo, Lachelein

Cape12 Phantasma Coins
Glove12 Phantasma Coins
Shoe12 Phantasma Coins

Will Shop, NPC Dimo, Esfera

Shoulder12 Arachno Coins

It is ok to get the weapon from the Lucid shop if you have a ton of Lucid clears vs Will clears. Will requires a good party since you actually have to pass certain tests in the boss fight or else you can move on in the fight. But you will have to do the Will boss eventually since that is the only shop that sells the Arcane Umbra Shoulder.

Boss Requirements for Lucid and Will

Getting into normal Lucid parties isn’t too hard. Most people are looking for someone that has 25-30k+ stat through smegas or discord. If you run with a full party it will be an easy boss fight for you, as long as you are aware of the mechanics. Don’t be the guy that dies out because if your party still clears without you it will count as a clear for you in that week and you get nothing.

Will parties are more of a gamble since if even one person doesn’t know what to do the whole party will be unable to clear it. Also the boss is level 250 so you want to be at that level or higher to deal all your damage. Before trying to get into WIll parties you should go watch some videos and do practice mode for the experience. This is not a boss you can just bind and burst to death.

Other things that you’ll want before fighting the bosses are, Functional IED around 93-95%, as much Boss Damage % as you can, Buff Freezers, Guild Skills, 100% Critical Rate, and your nodes at 40+. You don’t need all of these things in a party but having them all ensures you are pulling your weight and doing good damage.

What Order Arcane Umbra Piece To Buy?

It used to be that you would wait till you had all 5 pieces before equipping them for the set effect but since the set effect changes, it is now ok to change each piece when you can get it.

The most important piece to buy first is the Weapon. This will give you the biggest boost and you’ll want to get a higher tier attack flame on it. The next pieces depend on what you have. Replace your weakest items first and you will be good.
