How To Get Absolab Gear Easy Guide – MapleStory

Absolab equips are important for helping you reach your end game equips. They are a bit tedious to obtain but they are worth it as they give your character a huge boost. This guide will tell you about the prequests, the weeklies, the bosses, and when to stop upgrading these gears.

In order to get Absolab gear you have to complete the prequests for Lotus and Damien, do Scrapyard and Dark World Tree Weekly quests, and beat the Lotus and Damien boss.

When to go for Absolab Gear?

For the prequests and weeklies you want to get started on them as soon as you can. This will be around Lvl. 200+ after you get your first symbol. If you are only doing the weeklies on 1 character it will take you around 11 weeks in order to obtain enough material. But, this can be shortened if you have multiple characters that can do weeklies since the material is account tradeable (placed in storage).

If you run on enough characters to get 140 Faint Stigma Coins and 120 Diffusion-Line Energy Core (Grade A) you could be in a full Absolab set in 3 weeks.

When it comes to the boss fight you’ll ideally want to be around 230+, close to max nodes, have all your bossing links, decent legion 4k+, IED 90%+, 18k stat+, and have done some practice fights in order to learn the mechanics. This is if you’re trying to solo progress, if you’re doing this with a party you do not need nearly as much stuff. (it gets a lot laggier with more people so beware of that)

These are not strict guidelines since every class is different and the best way to know what stage you are at is to try the boss fight yourself and see how you do. If you are trying to boss fight make sure to have enough IED (93 ish functional) so you can hit the boss.

Lotus and Damien Prequests

You need to be able to do these prequests in order to have access to Lotus and Damien. The good thing is, you only need to do this once and the bosses will be unlocked for your entire account. The prequests are a playable storyline of Black Heaven and Heroes of Maple. The content scales to your level so you can start these prequests as soon as you are Lvl. 120.

Black Heaven – 3-4 hours

Heroes of Maple – 25-30 mins (only do chapter IV)

Both storylines are straightforward and you can power through them easily. To start it, go to the >>> Quick Move icon and select the Dimensional Mirror. Then choose Ereve Conference Pavilion. From there you can go to the left side of the map where you see a bird with a gold symbol. Click it and you’ll be able to choose which story to start. The order doesn’t matter and your progress is saved so you can take a break in between.

For Heroes of Maple you can just skip 1-3 and select chapter IV. You don’t have to go through the whole story unless you want to. Unfortunately Black Heaven you have to do everything.

Absolab Scrapyard and Dark World Tree Weeklies

You need to trade Absolab Coins/Stigma Coins in the shop to get Absolab Gear. To get these coins you need both the material from the weekly and the drop from the boss. The materials can also drop from the monsters in that area but they have a very low drop rate.

Head to Scrapyard: Heaven and talk to One-Eye for quests needed in order to get Diffusion-Line Energy Core (Grade A). There are a total of 5 quests and the 5th one is unlocked once you complete the 4 he gives you. This will give you a total of 12 Diffusion-Line Energy Core (Grade A). These are combined with the Lotus drops for Absolab Coins.

Go to Dark World Tree and talk to Alchetto for the quests. There are 5 quests which will tell you to kill random monsters. Once you finish them all you’ll get a total of 12 Faint Stigma Spirit Stones. These are combined with the Damien drops for Stigma Coins

Absolab and Stigma Coin Trade

Bosses can drop anywhere from 1-4 depending on drop rate and luck. The weeklies will give you 12 of each stone.

1 Absolab Coin = 1 Extraordinary Energy Core (Grade S) + 20 Diffusion-Line Energy Core (Grade A)

1 Stigma Coin = 1 Twisted Stigma Spirit Stone + 20 Faint Stigma Spirit Stone

Total needed for 5 set down below.

Absolab Equipment Shop Guide

There are two different shops where you can trade in these coins. These shops have different equips in them and you only want to get specific items in each. Do not get the Overall and the Hat.

These are what you should buy in each shop,

Stigma Shop (Dark World Tree : Deserted Camp)

  • Absolab Shoulder (2 stigma coins)
  • Absolab Weapon (5 stigma coins)

Total: 7 Stigma coins

Absolab Coin Shop (Scrapyard : Haven)

  • Absolab Glove (2 absolab coins)
  • Absolab Shoe (2 absolab coins)
  • Absolab Cape (2 absolab coins)

Total: 6 Absolab coins

If you want to get all 5 equips this is the amount of each item you’ll need,

Faint Stigma Spirit Stone140
Twisted Stigma Spirit Stone7
Diffusion-Line Energy Core (Grade A)120
Extraordinary Energy Core (Grade S)6

When To Stop Upgrading Absolab?

You want to keep your Absolab Gear at 17 stars and around 2 line main stat each (except Weapon, get attack). Don’t push any further on these equips since Arcane Umbra equipment is a lot easier to get nowadays and you’ll be moving into those. You also don’t want to push Absolab too hard since getting backups is pretty tedious and annoying.

Push your CRA Hat, Top, and Bottom to 21/22 stars after all your equips are 17 stars. This is because you get so many backups and you won’t need to safeguard. This is also the reason you don’t go for the Absolab hat. Once you reach this stage you’ll be able to get into normal Lucid and Will parties and start on your Arcane Umbra journey.

If you are trying to play this game completely solo and you don’t want to join parties you should push the Absolab but, why not take advantage of team play.
