What To Know For Guardian Angel Slime Boss

When the battle starts, although it has the same PDR as Lotus or Damien, you will be doing 30% less final damage. Guardian Angel Slime has two different HP bar indicators.

The light yellowish green bar is the Slime Boss’s real HP and the dark green bar is what the Slime Boss can recover.

In Normal Mode the Slime Boss will recover 1% HP every minute

In Chaos Mode he will recover 1% HP every 30 seconds.

Before The Guardian Wave you want to prepare for it by hitting these Magma Slimes into the gates. (more on how to do this below)

Bring Knockback Resistance since these Magma Slimes can cause knockback.

After some time there will be a little mini game in the boss fight called The Guardian Wave. If you are successful in this part you will get 15 seconds of free time with the boss as he will be stunned.

While the Guardian Angel Slime Boss is stunned the 30% final damage reduction will not be applied plus you will get a 10% final damage increase. If you do not succeed in the minigame the boss will not be stunned and will resume its regular patterns.

Guardian Angel Slime Boss Mechanics

The Slime Boss has 6 different attack patterns. Teleport, Jump, Super Knockback, Red Laser, Slime Summons, and  the slow Slime Sheet.

Guardian Angel Slime Teleport

This is where the boss will teleport to your position and try to attack you. You should try to get the boss to teleport to a platform where you can still attack it while being on another platform. For most classes the Slime will be big enough that you can do this almost anywhere. You’ll want it on another platform so that you can avoid its next attack, the Jump.

Guardian Angel Slime Jump

This attack will deal 100% HP damage to you and one shot you. This is just like Chaos Von Bon’s Jump and you can avoid this by either jumping at the right time or being on another platform.

Guardian Angel Slime Super Knockback

The Slime Boss will charge up and hit you with his knockback attack and stun you. This will deal 20% HP in normal and 50% HP in Chaos. You should try to avoid getting hit by this since it could lead into a Slime Jump or another disaster. You can avoid this by being above him or behind.

Guardian Angel Slime Red Laser

Try to avoid the Red Laser attack since it deals 50% HP in Normal and 70% HP in Chaos. It has a pretty big hitbox, even if you are above it you will get hit.

Guardian Angel Slime Summons

The Slime Boss will summon 6 different types of slimes during the fight.

Troublemaker Slime
5% HP Touch Damage

Explosive Slime
Explodes if you are near, 20% HP normal, 25% HP chaos

Gold Slime
10% HP Touch Damage

Romantic Slime
5% HP Touch Damage and can also Seduce your character

Halo Slime
5% HP Touch Damage

Magma Slime
These Magma Slimes will spawn all throughout the map. If it lands on you it will deal 10% HP and stun you

Staying near a Magma Slime will deal 5% HP damage to you

Make sure to have some Knockback Resistance for these guys

Try to avoid going near the Romantic Slime and being under the Magma Slimes and you should be fine.

Guardian Angel Slime Sheet

Occasionally the Slime Boss will summon this green goo on the ground. If you step in it you will be slowed and take 1% HP damage continuously for a short duration.

Guardian Angel Slime Map Effects and Patterns

While fighting the boss there are two things that will happen. The small slime bubbles and the Green Laser. If you are hit by the small slime bubbles it will deal 20% HP damage and slow you.

The Green Laser map effect is one you should definitely avoid. The lasers are fired from the gates and will aim at a random person in your party. (if you’re soloing it will target you) Blocked Gates will not spawn lasers.

These lasers are easy to avoid since they have a 3 second preview and they are in straight lines. These lasers will deal 10% HP (normal) 20% HP (chaos) per tick and they have a total of 6 ticks.

How To Block The Gates

This is super important to do before every Guardian Wave minigame. You must block at least one gate in order to be able to succeed in the Guardian Wave.

The gates at the top will always be in this order and it is important to remember which gate you block off.

In order to completely block off a gate you must shoot 3 Magma Slimes at the gate

This is your Mascot Gauge. When it is full that is when you can shoot Magma Slimes. Use your Interact key to begin the process of aiming. You can only aim Up or Down and it will shoot the opposite way of what you click. (Click UP it will shoot DOWN and vice versa) The gauge fills on its own and is relatively quick.

You should bring some Knockback Resistance since the Magma Slimes can knock you around.

Once you’ve blocked off at least one gate you can go back to damaging or dodging the boss. In a party try to block all the gates and if you’re solo, just block at least one.

The Guardian Wave

This is where everything stops and they reveal a lower part of the map. During this phase there will be a group of slime that comes rushing down the platforms. Your job is to direct the slimes into the gate that you blocked off. The gates on the bottom spawn in a random order unlike the fixed order it is on top. So make sure to know where your specific gate is.

Your mascot gauge turns into a blue crystal gauge that will allow you to summon blue crystals.

The slimes bounce off these crystals and go in the other direction. If a crystal is hit twice it will disappear. If the crystal is hit from above it will disappear in one shot.

There are 3 different types of Guardian Waves. If you’re in a party you should block off all the gates and you just let the slime run (unless the next Guardian Wave is the Golden one).

If you’re solo, all you gotta do is put the blue crystal on all the ledges that can lead to other portals. You get 20 crystals each time so you don’t have to conserve any.

3 Types of Guardian Waves

This is the regular Green Guardian Wave where you have to put the slimes into the slime that you blocked off. You get 3 tries to succeed.

The Golden Wave is where you want to put the slimes into a gate that you did not block off. There will be a prompt after a Guardian Wave saying you can only block up to 2 gates to let you know that the next one is a Golden Wave. This will never be the first Guardian Wave. This wave can appear when you get the boss to 67% and lower.

This is the Pink Wave and is pretty rare. It is the same as the green slime wave but the slimes move a lot faster. This will never be the first Guardian Wave.

After the Guardian Wave

Make sure to get to the top of the map after the Guardian Wave or else the Slime Boss will stun you and immediately one shot you.

If you succeed in the Guardian Wave you will get a huge benefit. Guardian Angel Slime Boss will be stunned for 15 seconds and you will deal an extra 10% final damage plus have the 30% final damage reduction restriction lifted.

If you fail, the Guardian Slime will appear back on the map, not stunned and resume its attack patterns.
This is time to use all your burst skills and deal as much damage as you can. After the Guardian Slime  is no longer stunned, the debuff and restriction will be applied again.
