SINoALICE can be a little confusing especially with all the job talk and cleaning your room. This guide will help you explain all of that!
Beginners of SINoALICE will need to know about Job types, Twilight Gems, Battle Mechanics, Guilds, and Story Clearing.
SINoALICE Job Types
When you check out a character you’ll see some little icons of weapons. Those are the weapons that the specific character can use and weapons are what define what your job is. Characters have specialties and will gain skill upgrades for that specific weapon.
Jobs can be split into 2 categories and 2 subcategories within those 2. The first 2 categories are DPS and Support. DPS classes can use all the DPS weapons like Blade, Hammer, Polearm and Bow. The subcategory in the DPS class is the Physical and Magical types.
Support classes can use weapons such as Staff, Tomes, Orbs, and Instruments. They get split into the categories of healer, buffer, debuffer, and Magical Multi Target.
Job | Weapon Type | Specialization |
Breaker | Blade | Physical Attack; Single Target |
Crusher | Hammer | Physical Attack; Multi Target |
Paladin | Polearms | Magical Attack; Multi Target |
Gunner | Ranged | Magical Attack; Single Target |
Cleric | Staff | Heal Allies’ HP/Health |
Minstrel | Instruments | Buff Allies’ Stats |
Sorcerer | Tomes | Debuff Enemies’ Stats |
Mage | Orbs | Magical Attack; Multi Target |
It is important to choose a main Job because it requires a lot of resources and you don’t want to spread yourself too thin. This is not to say that leveling all jobs are not important. It is the complete opposite, you should level all jobs at least to a certain point. This is because it gives you a passive account buff which can be applied to any and all classes.
Jobs are leveled up through proficiency points which are obtained by spending AP/SP on battles. Just use the job you want to gain EXP and that’s how it will gain EXP.
Note that characters are not job locked. So Alice has versions where she specializes in Blade, Polearm, and even Staff. There are characters that can unlock like 6-7 jobs so just pick the one that looks best to you!
Play SINoALICE On your Computer/PC
When it comes to playing SINoALICE on the PC, check out BlueStacks. This is what we use to play all of our mobile games on a 60 fps no lag setup. BlueStacks lets you play multiple games at once with its ability to run multiple instances.
If you want to coordinate with your teammates using Discord on your computer, I find that using BlueStacks makes things a lot easier.
What Character To Choose For SINoALICE
The hardest choice in the game is choosing which Waifu/Husbando to main. There is no “meta” pick and no one waifu is greater than another so, the only choice is which one suits you.
Alice
Snow White
Cinderella
Gretel
Red Riding Hood
Pinocchio
Little Mermaid (not available on Global release)
Princess Kaguya
You will be picking a main character to play but it is beneficial to unlock and get all the other ones for passive benefits. Complete each chapter and use the character to get all the rewards.
Battle Mechanics
At first glance the game looks like a turn based RPG, but it is not at all. During a battle your squad will be doing moves on their own but you can jump in at any time to use the cards you want. There is an SP gauge that allows you to use your cards and you have to keep track of it because the higher rank cards cost more and if you run out you will be unable to do anything. This game also has an AUTO feature which you can use but when fighting in Guild matches and stuff you should really be able to play without AUTO.
When you play a quest it will be in a party of 5 members. If you’re not playing with friends the 4 other members will be filled with CPUs which are AI based copies of other players grid setups. The matching up process will be based on your Weapon Grids Total Value so you can match up with players similar to you.
This game has elemental elements and type advantages/disadvantages. The 3 elements are Fire, Water, and Wind.
Fire beats Wind but is weak to Water
Water beats Fire but is weak to Wind
Wind beats Water but is weak to Fire
Almost exactly like rock, paper, scissors and how you will be using each type will greatly affect the outcome of the matches.
Check out our Tips and Tricks post for some other good information about the game.
What are Twilight Gems and How Should You Spend Them?
The currency used for summons in this game are called Twilight Gems. Twilight Gems can be obtained through Main Story, Daily Missions, and Event Missions. Also, every 5 times you Limit Break a weapon you can gain 30 gems. Do this with low rarity weapons so you do have to use too many resources. Use the Twilight Gems to pull on important banners to best make use of them. We will keep you updated on the important banners so check back whenever a banner comes out!
What are Half-Nightmares and Nightmares?
Although a Half-Nightmare and Nightmare sound like they should be related, they aren’t at all. A Nightmare is a monster that can be equipped to a job and can be summoned when you are in need of help. Half-Nightmares on the other hand are a job type that greatly increases the effectiveness of one weapon while lowering another. Half-Nightmares also have different art styles.
For example, a Half-Nightmare specializing in Blades can expect a big increase to Blade cards but about a 75% reduction to two other weapons like Hammer or Bow. This job is a lot harder to use for beginners and should be considered when you get to the Colosseum.
Nightmares can do various things like increase allies stats, HP recovery, increase weapon effectiveness, and resist fatal blows.
What Is Colosseum in SINoALICE?
Colosseum is where you go to have Guild Battles. If you’re in a Guild you will select a time where you can fight and when that time comes you will be able to engage in a fight with your guild mates to earn good rewards like EXP materials and possibly a Nightmare. This is where finding a good guild comes into play.
The time schedule that you can set for Guild Battles is,
SINoALICE Guilds Explained
In SINoALICE you should definitely try to join an active guild. Guilds are limited to 15 people and being in one will give you the chance at obtaining many worthwhile rewards.
Guilds will usually stick to a structure of a mix of DPS and Support classes. Since an all DPS guild will probably lose to a Guild with Healers and Buffers it is important to be aware of what class you are and where you can join. Since a majority of people play DPS, Support players will be more sought after and you will have an easier time getting accepted into a good guild if you’re a Support player.
Setting Up Your First Grid for SINoALICE
Grids are where you will place your Weapon cards and Equipment. This will be where most of your power comes from and it is important to set it up properly. The best thing for beginners is to be able to finish and clear the story as soon as you can. The best way to do this is to start with a DPS centered Grid Build. This means focusing on attacking weapons like Blade or Polearm instead of Tomes and Instruments.
The reason you want to avoid Support Grids early on is because of the lacking damage and cost to raise. In the beginning you’ll see higher returns on a DPS build but after a certain point it will be the Support Grid that is easier to build.
After you complete the story and raise your account you can use your Twilight Gems and start to expand to other categories like Healer if you want. The Support class requires less materials and resources compared to the DPS classes.
Cleaning Your Room/Purification in SINoALICE
If you want extra AP there is an option of “cleaning your room” where you tap on the little enemies and do it as fast as you to gain more EXP. There is also the technique of clicking and dragging which can be faster than simply clicking the enemies individually. Another part of cleaning is the ultimate. When you reach 5 orbs you can use a special attack which clears the map. Some save this for maps with a bunch of strong monsters but if you use it right away you will be able to do 2 ultimates in one cleaning.
The Cleaning features also gives you EXP and is free for the first 20 levels. Make sure to use this only when you run out of SP/AP. After level 20 you can clean for free every 8 hours. Cleaning Tickets give you a free entry and can be obtained from Daily Missions which you should always do.
Dailies and Dungeons in SINoALICE
The most important dungeons that you should always do when possible are the EXP Dungeons. The Daily missions are easy to do and give you gems so of course you should do them. Here’s the list of Dailies.
Mission | Reward |
Complete all daily missions | Cleaning Ticket x1 |
Clean once | Twilight Gem x2 |
Participate in Colosseum | Twilight Gem x4 |
Clear 5 Story Quest | Twilight Gem x2 |
Clear any story mission in Co-op Mode | Twilight Gem x2 |
There will also be something called Rookie’s Path when you first start. This should be completed as soon as you can so you can get very good rewards.
SINoALICE Monsters and Weaknesses
Something important to know are what monsters are weak to. When you attack something with a type advantage a Red mark comes up and if you attack with a type disadvantage a blue mark will come up.
