Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross – Tips and Tricks You Might Not Know

While playing 7DS:GC you may be overwhelmed by the amount of things you can do. Right at the start we were greeted with a ton of events! You might have been playing by just going through the motions of any gacha game, but are there little things that you should know?

There are several things in this game that aren’t so apparent. Below is a list of tips and tricks that every player should utilize.

Tips and Tricks

This list will be in order of obvious to not so obvious.

Recharge rates for entry items

  • 2 minutes per Stamina
  • 1 hour per Fight Festival (PvP) Entry Ticket
  • 2 hours per Gold Dungeon Key
  • 8 hours per Event Dungeon Key

Save your gems for limited banners

This might be old news to some, but it’s worth repeating. You never know where your luck may end up. One banner you might find you won’t have enough gems for a guaranteed summon. This game is really generous with its premium currency, gems, so if you want to roll for your favorite characters then go ahead.

If you’re a fan of the light novel Tensei Shitara Suraimu Datta Ken aka That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime aka that slime anime, then you might want to save your gems for this possible limited collab banner.

You can target each enemy separately

The game doesn’t really show this well, but you can choose targets for your skills separately. Just make sure you target first, and then use a skill, and repeat for each skill.

You can click and hold on an enemy to check out their abilities and skills

This is also easily missed and is useful later in the game or in PvP. You’ll be able to see all of an enemy’s stats as shown in the screenshot above.

You can access each attribute’s stage in the SP Dungeon menu by swiping left or right

In Fort Solgres, to access a different attribute’s Enhance or Evolve stage, all you have to do is scroll left or right in the middle section. The arrows shown on the sides can be easily missed.

If you’re confused as to what the percentages mean on the stages themselves, it’s basically a guaranteed item when you’ve completed enough stages. Each category has their own percentage. Harder stages will increase this percentage faster than easier ones.

Towns have objects that you can interact with for items or gold

Scattered around towns you’ll find barrels, crates, or chests that you can break or open up for items or gold. Loot is usually food ingredients or 2,000 gold. These recharge every couple hours, so go around looking for loot!

To skip Ultimate Move cutscenes in co-op both players have to press the bottom of the screen

While doing a Deathmatch with a co-op partner, you may want to skip the cutscene of Ultimate Moves. Both players will have to press this area on the bottom to skip the cutscene. You’ll see an indication of (1/2) if one player has done it.

Check the settings menu for game-changing options

You can change your play speed and even skip Ultimate Move animations by default. One significant option is the AI Setting which changes AI behavior to either Balanced, Offensive, or Defensive.

My (important) settings:

  • Play Speed: Ultra
  • Resolution Quality: Low
  • Power Saving Mode: Off or 30 seconds
  • Anti-aliasing: Off
  • Skip Animations [Ultimate Moves]: All
  • Skip Animations [Move to Village]: On
  • AI Settings: Balanced

If your phone is the latest and greatest model, then you might want to play this game with low quality enabled, and Anti-aliasing off, which speeds up the frame rate of the game a lot! I like to have power saving either off (for manual play) or really quick (for auto-battling).

Skipping animations for both Ultimate Moves and moving to village really speeds up gameplay. AI Settings will constantly be changing depending on the stage’s difficulty.

You can find character Associations by clicking on a character’s model in the menu

If you’re looking for which characters to pair with which, you can look up all of a character’s associations when you click on their model. Certain Associations give different bonuses so be on the lookout for different pairings to maximize your battling abilities.

Open the items in your 1-Use inventory to save space

If you check your 1-Use inventory, there are some items you’ll want to use up to save inventory space, like stamp boxes. This menu is found going to Menu > Item Storage > 1-Use. If you find yourself out of inventory space often, consider using gems to expand. You can also use up food to increase character Affinity or just sell them, unless they’re really good food.

Keep C-tier gear that can be equipped on the right side

The reasoning for this is because C-tier gear costs less to awaken fully and to reroll bonus effects. These bonus effects have a big impact on your CC (Combat Class), and you want to be able to roll for the best ones for your characters.

The right side equipments include:

  • Rings
  • Earrings
  • Runes

You can purchase C-tier gear from equipment merchants in the different towns.

For the left side, you’ll want to focus on the main stats as opposed to the bonus stats, because the main stats for these pieces of equipment are much more significant. This means you’ll want SSR gear for the left side. Check out our equipment guide for more details.

Play On PC!

Another tip, is to use an emulator like BlueStacks.

When it comes to playing Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross on the PC, BlueStacks is a great option. This is what we use to play all of our mobile games on a 60 fps no lag setup. BlueStacks lets you play multiple games at once with its ability to run multiple instances.

Pro tip, use this when rerolling so that you can reroll a bunch of times at once instead of one at a time.

Games are a longtime passion of mine starting from childhood when my mother bought me my very own Gameboy Color. I’ve been gaming ever since. I’m a self-proclaimed jack of all trades, with what I consider a wide skill set ranging from programming to photography. As the saying goes, a master of none is oftentimes better than a master of one.
