Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross – Guild Boss Guide

The guild boss in 7DS can be a challenge to those who haven’t attempted it before, or those who are unfamiliar with the mechanics.

Below are details on the guild boss and how to effectively defeat it while getting the most amount of points for the best rewards.

Team Composition

First things first, you’ll need the right team if you want to defeat the guild boss. Well, not just defeat it (because any strong team can do it), but defeat it effectively. This means you’ll need a team that’s strong AND fast.

Bring Green Jericho, Gustav, Green Gilthunder, and Green Helbram. Green Jericho and Gustav are essential here, so if you don’t have them, then you may need to go to the coin shop and spend your coins. You can replace either Green Gilthunder or Green Helbram for CS Gowther, for an even more potent team (if you don’t have either).

Unit positioning doesn’t really matter here, because if you’re unlucky you simply won’t get the cards you need. You’ll want to make sure your team has enough CC (Combat Class); at least 80,000 for normal and 120,000 for hard.

Alternate Team

It’s possible to do well with a solely buffing team as well. The team above is focused on gaining score by buffing a lot. You can even put a healer on your teams if you’re struggling to stay alive, and still achieve 1200 points. I personally don’t have much experience with other teams so it’s hard to say.

How to get 1200 points

If you enter the guild boss menu, you’ll see that there are two difficulties: normal and hard. You can get points for each difficulty, so as long as your score adds up to a total of 1200, you should be good for the week.

To try to get the most points, you’ll first need to understand what gives points. Here’s a chart:

ActionPoints
Using Rank 1 Cards+1
Using Rank 2 Cards+3
Using Rank 3 Cards+10
Using Ultimate Move+20
Moving Cards+3
Combining Cards+3
Skipping+5
Buffing Units+2 per buffed unit
Debuffing Boss+5
Healing+5
Dealing a Critical Hit+5
Dealing DamageA lot*

There are some hidden mechanics that make players lose points as well:

  • Losing health
  • Unit dying
  • Turns passing

Yes, the longer the fight, the more points you’ll lose. Here’s a chart showing how many points exactly:

Turn NumberPoint Deduction
1-1
2-8
3-25
4-59
5-114
6-197
7-312
8-466
9-663
10-910
11-1210
… and so on…

* The more damage you deal, the more points you’ll get. This is why Jericho’s ultimate move is so important to have. She can do upwards of one million damage when properly buffed and with a Rank 3 Freeze on the boss. This will net you, probably, a solid 200 points.

In summary, deal BIG damage, and don’t take too long to finish the boss!

Strategy

You’ll want to start off by building towards Jericho’s ultimate right away. If on the next turn you don’t have any Jericho cards, you can choose to restart to get a better hand. If not, then build big buffs and Rank 3 Freeze. You may be able to get away with just Rank 2 Freeze, but it’s always best to play it safe and go for the stronger debuff. Rank 3 Freeze increases damage by 200% instead of Rank 2’s 80%, a big difference!

If by Turn 4, you don’t have anything good, you may be in trouble, unless your units are really tanky because the guild boss will likely have its ultimate move. It’s always safe to forfeit the battle, so try again and hope for better cards if things don’t go your way.

To sum up:

  1. Get Jericho’s ultimate move ready
  2. Buff Jericho
  3. Use Rank 3 Freeze on the boss

If you’re about to finish the boss and your hand is similar to the hand above (possibly with a Rank 3 buff card, unless you’re buffed up already), you’re in good shape! Just hope you get a critical hit for that juicy damage.

Rewards

Here’s the list of rewards you can currently get from the guild boss:

PointsReward
3002 x UR Treasure Chests
6003 x SR Evolution Pendants
9001 x 5★ Awakening Stone
120050 x Anvils

The reason why the 1200 points is so coveted is because of the 50 Anvils. These are used on your SSR gear to change their substats instead of spending your hard-earned gems. Now you can enter your Knighthood and fight the guild boss with confidence, and earn those points!

There will likely be a guild boss update in the future. We know because the Asia servers are ahead and have done one. We’ll keep you updated.
