Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX: All Datamined Info Explained

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX has been announced for the Switch and this is super exciting! Pokémon Mystery Dungeon has been one of the game series that I enjoyed most when I was younger. It was such a different feel from the regular Pokémon games. The classic Pokémon games were very repetitive and not much different but Mystery Dungeon offered a better storyline and different ways to play depending on the field. There has been some datamined information that has come out—let’s get into it.

The demo has revealed Pokémon, Mega Evolutions, Shiny Pokémon, and Art. All listed below!

Pokémon

This probably isn’t all the Pokémon that can be obtained since it is just the Demo, but already I see some Pokémon I’m excited to recruit. Lucario, Munchlax, and Togekiss are interesting and strong Pokémon to recruit.

Also note that Pokémon available in the game will only go up to generation 4. Generation 5 and up Pokémon will not be added to the game. Only Pokémon in the original rescue team games are here along with their evolutions, if they have. For example Lickitung will be able to evolve into Lickilicky. Again, there is sure to be more Pokémon to come so you should not see this list as the end.

Ranks

If you’ve ever played the Mystery Dungeon series then you should know about the ranks. As you do more missions and tasks your rank will go up and now the max rank you can achieve is Grandmaster Rank.

Artwork

There are new flags and items that were in the datamine that were really cool. This means that you will be able to customize your base to your liking and I’m all for it. Also, item usage is important when exploring a dungeon so it will be good to see a visual upgrade of them.

Shiny Pokémon

Currently, not all Pokémon can be found Shiny and this will probably change in the future when the full game is released but so far only a selected few are Shiny. Some are Wobbuffet, Starmie, Shuckle, and Exeggcute.
