Pokémon Masters: Rayquaza Legendary Event Guide

The Legendary Rayquaza event is on! Zinnia, originally from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, makes an appearance with this event as well. Players now have a chance to scout the Sync Pair, Zinnia & Rayquaza.

To complete the Rayquaza Legendary event, prepare Dragon-type and Rock-type Sync Pair teams, do Co-Op event missions daily, complete the event Mission Bingo, and make sure to check out the Item Exchange.

Single-Player

As per Legendary event, the Story missions consist of a few cutscenes and battles. The battles should be a breeze if you’ve got high level Sync Pairs. Olivia & Lycanroc will make quick work of your opponents. F2P players can use Brock & Tyranitar.

There will be a point where you’ll need to collect more vouchers in order to unlock the Legendary Sync Pair. At this point, move on to Co-Op missions and clear the Normal and Hard missions once each and you’ll have enough vouchers to scout Zinnia & Rayquaza.

To clear Team Break missions quickly, just bring Clair & Seadra, Player & Torchic, and another good Dragon-type Sync Pair like Drake & Salamence or Lance & Dragonite OR a good Flying-type Sync Pair like Blue & Pidgeot.

If you’re battling on auto, make sure you don’t have a Bandana (gear) equipped which will ensure Player & Torchic uses Blazing Hope! twice. Zinnia & Rayquaza is also really good in the Team Break missions, but at the start of the event they’re likely too low level (lack of Custom Buff Blends). Later on, it’s a good idea to bring them along.

Completing all the Single-Player missions will net you 180 Gems for first-time clears.

Co-Op

Make sure you complete each difficulty at least once per day, except for the Super Hard mission, which only needs to be cleared once for the first-time reward. There’s a daily 3x bonus to the rewards you receive for each difficulty.

To grind out enough vouchers, it’s best to do either the Very Hard mission or Hard mission, depending on which Custom Voucher you need. If you’re going for more Custom Voucher 3, then grind out the Hard mission. For Custom Super Voucher 3, grind the Very Hard mission.

Completing all the Co-Op missions for the first time will net you 420 Gems.

Mission Bingo

Event missions aren’t found in the Poryphone this time around. Instead, players can find event missions in the Mission Bingo.

Item Exchange

To completely max out the Sync Move of Zinnia & Rayquaza and potential, you’ll need a total of 21,200 Custom Vouchers! Buying a Custom ★ Power-Up will increase its cost by 40 every time until you’ve got 20 of them, at which point there will be no more available in the shop.

If you’re planning on getting the 5, 4, and 3★ potential tickets (which is highly recommended), you’ll need 1,800 Custom Super Vouchers. This makes for a total of 23,000 vouchers if you want to purchase all these limited items.

For the rest of the event, just grind out vouchers for any other items in the shop that you need.

Now that you have Zinnia & Rayquaza, check out our article to see if we think this Legendary Sync Pair is good.

Games are a longtime passion of mine starting from childhood when my mother bought me my very own Gameboy Color. I’ve been gaming ever since. I’m a self-proclaimed jack of all trades, with what I consider a wide skill set ranging from programming to photography. As the saying goes, a master of none is oftentimes better than a master of one.
