Is it worth rolling for Sygna Suit Grimsley & Sharpedo?

Yes! This Sync Pair has impressive stats, moves, a mega evolution, and a Sync Grid that gives you plenty of options to customize them to fit right into your team. Released on the same day as the debut of the Legendary Arena, this pair is made to take on Entei.

Sharpedo is a naturally speedy Pokémon that Mega Evolves to have the highest Speed of any Sync Pair, quickly able to recharge the Move Gauge in time to continue the relentless attacks. Fast-Track 2 also gives Sharpedo a chance of raising Speed with each attack.

Waterfall will possibly flinch the opponent and Liquidation has a chance of lowering the opponent’s Defense.  Double Down 5 will power up super effective sync moves and Power Flux 5 will power up moves the fuller the move gauge. X Attack boosts Sharpedo’s Attack, and with one MP Refresh, maxes it out.

High-Stakes Liquidation isn’t the most impressive Sync Move with only 160 Power, but it allows Sharpedo to become Mega Sharpedo for the rest of the battle and their Sync Grid can add +100 power. As Mega Sharpedo, Attack & Speed stats are improved. Waterfall is replaced with the move Aqua Jet and can be used three times, but does not use any bars on the move gauge.

True to Grimsley’s nature as a gambler, his Sink or Swim! trainer move gives Sharpedo impressive bonuses, but at the cost of 90% of Sharpedo’s current HP. It removes all status conditions, drastically raises evasiveness and critical-hit rate and if used by Mega Sharpedo, radically raises Attack.

Wait to use Sink or Swim! til after Sharpedo’s Sync Move and there is no need to waste turns using X Attack when you could be using Waterfall instead. Immediately queue using a Potion by another Sync Pair, such as Skyla & Swanna, and Sharpedo can be back at full health before an opponent is able to take advantage of 10% or less HP remaining. This drawback is easily overcome, which makes Sygna Suit Grimsley & Sharpedo a Sync Pair you should consider rolling.
