Pokémon Masters: Is It Worth Rolling for Sabrina & Alakazam?

Sabrina the original Psychic-type Gym Leader is coming to Pasio alongside her Alakazam. This Sync Pair is the second Psychic-type Support Sync Pair. With the abundance of other great Support Sync Pairs already, you may ask, is it worth rolling for Sabrina & Alakazam?

Maybe. Sabrina & Alakazam is a decent Sync Pair. Despite being a Support Sync Pair, they can pack a punch with buffs and Sync Grid upgrades.

Is it worth rolling for Sabrina & Alakazam?

I would say save your gems if you’re low on gems and can’t afford a guaranteed roll (400 scout points, or over 130 non-paid rolls!). There’s nothing special about this Sync Pair’s stats, mostly just average, ignoring their Atk. stat which isn’t applicable.

What gives them a bit of an edge, stat-wise, is the fact that their buffs can skyrocket their team’s power quite a bit. Critical-hit rate up, a drastic Sp. Atk. boost (that’s 3x a normal boost), and an increase in accuracy, all in one moveset!

Does Alakazam’s Mega-Evolution change much? A little.Adding Psychic into the mix boosts the Sync Pair’s offensive capabilities alongside a Sp. Atk. and Speed stat increase. It remains to be seen whether or not Alakazam can hold up as a Support Striker.

Their passives benefit most a Sync Grid build that tailors to a more Striker style build. For more on this Sync Pair’s Sync Grid, check out our article on the best Sync Grid build for Sabrina & Alakazam.

In conclusion, consider if you really need this Sync Pair on your team over other Support Sync Pairs. Sabrina does have a certain waifu appeal, so if you really want to roll for her go ahead!

At the time of writing, Battle Villa isn’t out yet. Battle Villa may change the game up significantly so keep an eye out on changes to this article.
