Pokémon Masters EX: Best Bianca & Musharna Sync Grid Builds

Bianca & Musharna start with an already good moveset and their sync grid solidifies them as a versatile Psychic-type that makes a great base with their Psychic Terrain. Capable of maxing their defenses and Sp. Atk stats with a single refresh, Musharna also vastly increases her damage output with Stored Power.

The best sync grid build for Bianca & Musharna is Lucid Power, Dreamscape, and No Snoozing.

Lucid Power (2/5): At sync level 2, the tiles to help her allies are locked away, so this build focuses on a combination of continual power and keeping herself in the fight.

Dreamscape (3/5): Psychic Terrain features in this build to help allies and let Musharna protect her allies by soaking up the damage but don’t discount her power.

No Snoozing (3/5): Take out opponents by lowering their Sp. Def with Psychic but knocks them out with superpowered Stored Power and Musharna’s sync move.

Universal Upgrades

HP +10

Defense +5

Sp. Atk +20

Sp. Def +5

Speed +5

Stored Power Power +1

Stored Power Move Gauge Refresh 2

Psychic Terrain MP Refresh 3

You Snooze, You Lose! MP Refresh 2

Stored Power gaining +1 power may seem insignificant, but the power is multiplied when Musharna’s stats are raised, which means that it can be a more powerful move than Psychic. Picking up Stored Power Move Gauge Refresh 2 will restore one bar to the move gauge after the attack is successful 30% of the time.

Stored Power’s power increases until Musharna has a total of +12 raised stats, which can be done with You Snooze, You Lose! MP Refresh 2 activating once and using all three uses while the field is Psychic Terrain. Psychic Terrain MP Refresh 2 has a chance to restore a use of the move, which will allow Musharna to keep the field to her advantage longer.

Since Musharna can be focused as a Tank or a Striker, there is no universal lucky skill recommended.

Sync Grid Builds

Lucid Power Build (Sync Level 2/5)

Total Sync Orb Cost: 750

Total Energy Used: 60

(Build Link)

Unique Upgrades:

Defense +10

Sp. Atk +5

Stored Power Power +2

Precognition 2

Weird Recovery 1

Recommended Lucky Skill:

Critical Strike 2

Stored Power gains an additional +2 power, but it is aided by Precognition 2, which will increase the speed of the move gauge charge. With Stored Power costing two bars and with a refresh, it leaves a fair amount of room for other sync pairs to use their attacks while in the Psychic Terrain.

To help Musharna keep herself in fighting shape, Weird Recovery 1 will restore some of her HP whenever she takes an action when the field is Psychic Terrain. With Stored Power’s low cost and Bianca’s Trainer move raising both defenses, Musharna can put up a good fight.

Since the build focuses on doing damage, it is important to have a sync pair ally raise her critical-hit rate for even more devastating power with the lucky skill Critical Strike 2.

Dreamscape Build (Sync Level 3/5)

Total Sync Orb Cost: 750

Total Energy Used: 60

(Build Link)

Unique Upgrades:

Defense +10

Psychic Terrain Pep Rally 1

Psychic Terrain Team Hit and Heal

Weird Recovery 1

Recommended Lucky Skill:

Vigilance

Psychic Terrain gets two upgrades that activate when the move is used: Pep Rally 1 and Team Hit and Heal. Pep Rally 1 will raise the Speed of all ally sync pairs by +1. Since you naturally have two uses, this means that other sync pairs that can raise the team’s Speed can skip taking their MP Refresh tiles. Team Hit and Heal will grant all allies a regeneration effect that will heal a small amount of HP when the Pokémon uses a move successfully.

In addition to healing herself with Team Hit and Heal, Weird Recovery 1 will restore a small bit of Musharna’s health whenever she takes an action while the field is Psychic Terrain. This will help her keep her HP high and soak up enemy damage.

Don’t need Pep Rally 1? Consider using Precognition 2 to speed up the move gauge charge rate while in a Psychic Terrain. Even being considered the Tank of the team, Stored Power still becomes very powerful so Musharna should also always be attacking. To keep opponents from bypassing raised defenses, the lucky skill Vigilance should be picked to avoid taking extra damage from critical hits.

No Snoozing Build (Sync Level 3/5)

Total Sync Orb Cost: 750

Total Energy Used: 60

(Build Link)

Unique Upgrades:

Defense +10

Sp. Atk +5

Sp. Def +10

Stored Power Power +2

Psychic Power +3

Brainteaser

Recommended Lucky Skill:

Critical Strike 2

Psychic is only used in this build only for its Sp. Def reduction chances with On a Roll 4. The passive skill means that Psychic has an impressive five chances to lower an opponent’s Sp. Def. Chances are good that you will reach -6 on an opponent with few uses.

After this, Stored Power is the only move considered because it is stronger when powered up with Musharna’s raised stats. The build picks up an additional +2 power to the attack.
Musharna’s moves are empowered by Brainteaser, which increases move damage against opponents with lowered Sp. Def stats. Musharna’s sync move also scales with lowered Sp. Def stats. With significant damage output, putting an ally that can raise critical-hit rate is imperative and grabbing the lucky skill Critical Strike 2 helps it boost damage even further.
