Acerola & Palossand gained significantly from their grid, most notably protecting themselves from the very Sandstorm they cause. Sandstorm aids allies as it stirs up and Palossand can spam Astonish to frustrate opponents and keep her HP up, since a stray rock could take her out of the battle. Palossand causes a nuisance for opponents and does it so well with a single build.
The best Acerola and Palossand Sync Grid Build is Sandy Surprise (2/5 & 3/5): The only build you’ll need for Palossand.

As the grid stands now, there is no reason to try any other build when it will simply be inferior to the Sandy Surprise build. Perhaps in the future as the game changes.
The recommended Lucky Skill is Defense Crush 2 because Astonish being a one-bar move it is easily spammed to aid physical Strikers by having a chance to decrease the opponent’s Defense.

With only one attack, Astonish is Palossand’s only choice if she wants to cause damage, except her Attack and Astonish’s power are abysmal. Palossand’s power comes from Aggravation 1, which adds an extra roll to flinch the opponent. Timing it right and the opposing team will lose out on many attacks with a well timed Astonish. With Move Gauge Refresh 4, this one-bar move has a 50% chance to restore that one bar to the move gauge, helping out gauge-hungry allies.
Sandstorm gains several abilities, making her one of the best Sandstorm-setters of the game. MP Refresh 3 grants the move a 40% chance to restore one use each time it is used for if the battle goes long. Each time Sandstorm is used, Flag Bearer 9 will raise the Attack of all allies by +1 and Focus Group 4 has a 50% chance of activating and raising the critical-hit rate of all allies.
As long as the Sandstorm is on the battlefield, Soothing Sand 1 will restore Palossand’s HP whenever she takes an action. Of course, that effect would be underwhelming without Sand Shelter, which protects Palossand from the very same Sandstorm she creates.

At Sync Level 2, Astonish loses out on its Refresh tile, but with a cost of one bar, it’s not a big loss. However, Sandstorm Move Gauge Refresh 3 can help other allies by potentially restoring one bar on the move gauge for their more gauge-demanding attacks.
