A new area opened up on June 25th, 2020 that introduced Bellis’s Lab and the ability to form sync pairs with Egg Pokémon.
Egg Pokémon have the potential to add a variety of sync pairs to best fit the situation, but it remains to be seen if they will be able to compete with normal sync pairs that have grids.
Obtaining Eggs
Eggs are obtainable from certain areas and require incubators to hatch into 1★ Pokémon. Egg Pokémon can be any of the three roles and can have up to three passive abilities. There is also a chance to hatch Shiny Pokémon of certain species.
Egg Rarity | Chance | Location |
1★ | 3% | Singleplayer – Main Story – Any DifficultySingleplayer – Courses – Normal, Hard, Very Hard, Super Hard |

3★ | 18% | Singleplayer – Supercourses – Hard |
3★ | 21% | Singleplayer – Supercourses – Very Hard |
3★ | 24% | Singleplayer – Supercourses – Super Hard |
You currently cannot receive an Egg from Ultra Hard Supercourses, Singleplayer Battle Villa, or any events.
The rarity of an Egg currently only affects the chance to obtain certain Pokémon. It does not affect the chances of any other Pokémon hatching or the chances of either roles or passive abilities.
When you obtain an Egg from Professor Bellis after a battle, it is placed in your Egg Box. It is not currently possible to discard Eggs–they must be hatched to get them out of your Egg Box. If your Egg Box is full, you will be unable to receive any more Eggs.
The Egg Box Expansion can be purchased in the shop under the Egg Research Items tab. It costs 120 paid Gems and will expand your Egg Box by 4 slots.
Incubating Eggs
Eggs currently have two conditions that must be met before it will hatch. The timer must reach zero and three battles must be won after the Egg is placed in the incubator.
Conditions to Hatch
Egg Rarity | Time Required to Hatch | Battles Required to Hatch |
1★ | 6 hrs | 3 battles |
2★ | 8 hrs | 3 battles |
3★ | 12 hrs | 3 battles |
When the Egg hatches, the Pokémon is placed in the Day Care for you to form a sync pair with it.
The Additional Incubator can be purchased in the shop under the Egg Research Items tab. It costs 300 paid Gems.
The Eggcelerator Pass can be purchased for 500 paid Gems and is active for 14 days. It provides an additional incubator and the ability to auto-incubate Eggs. This feature allows you to select up to 4 Eggs to automatically incubate when an incubator becomes free.
Hatchable Pokémon
(as of 6/25/20)
- Tauros**
- Meowth (female only)
- Bellsprout (female only)
- Nidoran♀
- Zubat (male only)
- Rattata (male only)
**Shiny Obtainable
The rarity of the Egg does not affect the potential of the Egg Pokémon. They will always start with 1★ potential and will hatch at level 1.
Each Egg Pokémon can fully evolve, with the exception of Zubat, who can only evolve into Golbat.
If you want to look at an Egg Pokémon’s stats before forming a sync pair with them, press and hold on their icon in the Day Care.
Roles
An Egg Pokémon has an equal chance of having a Strike, Support, or Tech role upon hatching.
Each role has its own moves and passive abilities.
Stats
Each Egg Pokémon will have the almost same stats for each role. This depends on whether the evolutionary line has two or three Pokémon.
Passive Abilities
There is a ⅓ chance an Egg Pokémon will have one, two or three fixed passive abilities. Each role will have their own set of passive abilities.
Passive Abilities are unlocked in a certain order. A Strike Bellsprout with one passive ability will always have Wide Awake and a Strike Bellsprout with two passive abilities will have Wide Awake and Power Reserves 2.
Shiny Pokémon
There is a chance for certain Egg Pokémon to be shiny. Unlike normally colored Egg Pokémon, Shiny Pokémon will always be a specific role and will have three passive abilities. A Shiny Tauros will always have the Strike role.
Currently, only Tauros is available as a Shiny Pokémon. There is a 1 in 11 chance that when a Tauros hatches, it will be shiny.
Unlike normally colored Tauros, Shiny Tauros will always have the Strike role and three passive skills.
Forming a Sync Pair
You are able to form a sync pair with one Egg Pokémon of an evolutionary line at a time. The current partner of the player will be returned to the Day Care and retain its levels.
Once you receive an Egg Pokémon of a certain role with all three passive abilities unlocked, there is little reason to keep any Egg Pokémon of the same species and role with one or two passive abilities.
In the Day Care, Pokémon can be donated to Professor Bellis’s lab. Be careful, donated Pokémon are gone permanently and nothing spent to improve the Egg Pokémon will be returned.
You receive Egg Research Tickets in exchange for any donated Pokémon. Currently, they cannot be spent anywhere, but will likely be used as a currency to redeem for Berry Tarts to increase affinity, Power-Ups, or Egg Move Candies.
