Pokémon Masters: Best Sygna Suit Red Sync Grid Build

SS Red is finally out with his partner Pokémon, Charizard. Their sync grid provides a boost in their already immense offensive power.

The best sync grid build would be to go for My Destiny! Status Quo and any of three other builds.

Remember that sync grid builds can always be changed for a fee of gold. Here are the three best builds to go for:

Sunny Heat

Total Sync Orb Cost: 750

Total Energy Used: 60

Total Upgrades:

  • Attack +5
  • Defense +5
  • HP +10
  • Heat Wave: Power ↑ +18 [Sync Lv3]
  • My Destiny! Status Quo 4 [Sync Lv2]
  • Sp. Atk +10
  • Sp. Def +5
  • Speed +35
  • Speeding Sun 2 [Sync Lv3]

This build is focused on AoE (area-of-effect) damage that Heat Wave provides. Because of how strong SS Red & Charizard’s stats are, this is even a strong move for single targets. This build requires some setup because of Speeding Sun 2.

You’ll notice that every one of these builds includes My Destiny! Status Quo 4. The reason for this is because it’s just really good! For example, in Battle Villa, players can quit and re-enter stages just to try and get the skill activation before proceeding. Charizard will be able to survive a lot longer to deal more damage.

Furthermore, all the Speed upgrades are a great benefit for the sync pair’s low speed stat. All the builds have this boost in Speed.

BB Gun

Total Sync Orb Cost: 738

Total Energy Used: 59

Total Upgrades:

  • Attack +5
  • Blast Burn: Power ↑ +16 [Sync Lv3]
  • Defense +5
  • HP +10
  • My Destiny! Status Quo 4 [Sync Lv2]
  • Power Reserves 2 [Sync Lv2]
  • Sp. Atk +5
  • Sp. Def +5
  • Speed +30
  • Speeding Sun 2 [Sync Lv3]

For this build, we focus on Blast Burn. This is a more single target-focused build. If you’re entering a hall in Battle Villa with a single Fire-type weak sync pair, this is the ideal build.

Again, My Destiny! Status Quo 4 is a staple for any SS Red & Charizard build, and with Power Reserves 2 there’s even more synergy. Set up with a Sunny Day and Blast Burn away.

Mega Steadfast Blitz

Total Sync Orb Cost: 750

Total Energy Used: 60

Total Upgrades:

  • Attack +5
  • Defense +15
  • Flare Blitz: Power ↑ +24 [Sync Lv2]
  • HP +10
  • My Destiny! Status Quo 4 [Sync Lv2]
  • Power Reserves 2 [Sync Lv2]
  • Sp. Atk +5
  • Sp. Def +5
  • Speed +35
  • Standfast 5 [Sync Lv3] x 2

This is the build that I’ll be going for. This build focuses on a late-game Charizard with its Mega-Evolution. With the additional effect of My Destiny!, which increases Attack drastically when Mega-Evolved, Flare Blitz becomes deadly.

This build doesn’t require a Sunny Day setup, but you can choose to forego one Steadfast 5 and one of the Speed +10 upgrades for Speeding Sun if you want a more synergy/co-op style.

How to farm Red Sync Orbs

On auto, bring SS Red & Charizard and Player & Torchic to the Ultra Hard Level-Up Course. For my runs, I left the two moves unlearned on SS Red & Charizard. You may have to switch up your strategy just slightly if you’ve got your sync pair’s moves unlocked.

Make sure both sync pairs are at max level (115/120). You don’t need gear for this grind, but having maxed out 2★ Fire-type gear may help with the speed of each run.

If you’re lucky, SS Red & Charizard’s passive, Propulsion 1, will proc (activate) twice and you’ll be able to finish the round quicker. If you’ve got enough sync orbs, you’ll want to upgrade Sp. Atk. in the sync grid to allow for a quicker finish without the luck factor. Upgrading some Sp. Def. is also advisable because there’s a small chance to fail a run with this method.

Games are a longtime passion of mine starting from childhood when my mother bought me my very own Gameboy Color. I’ve been gaming ever since. I’m a self-proclaimed jack of all trades, with what I consider a wide skill set ranging from programming to photography. As the saying goes, a master of none is oftentimes better than a master of one.
