Pokémon Masters: Best Pryce Sync Grid Build

Pryce & Dewgong’s Sync Grid has been revealed and it’s not as strong as everyone had hoped, especially since they’re held back with the Lv. 3 Sync Move barrier. Regardless, this is definitely a step up for this Sync Pair.

The best Sync Grid build currently for Pryce & Dewgong is to go for Hostile Environment and Ice Beam: Power.

Sync Grid Build

Total Sync Orb Cost: 750

Total Energy Used: 60

With this build, Dewgong’s Ice Beam becomes a force to be reckoned with. Without Lv. 3 Sync Move, however, Pryce & Dewgong will not be as strong as they can be. This is the best we can do for now.

You can opt for powering up Icy Wind now and saving Energy and Sync Orbs for later, and hope that the next Ice-type training event comes with another Pryce Sync Move upgrade soon.

How to farm Pryce Sync Orbs

On auto, bring Pryce & Dewgong, Rosa & Serperior, and Skyla & Swanna to the Super Hard Level-Up Course. Most of the time, Dewgong will use its Sync Move as a finisher. If you’re unlucky, the opponent’s Dusknoir will use its Sync Move before yours which will delay your victory. I found this to be the most efficient team for grinding Level-Up Manuals and Pryce & Dewgong Sync Orbs simultaneously.

Ensure that Pryce & Dewgong is at max level (with a full moveset) for sufficient damage, and that Rosa & Serperior can tank enough damage. You don’t need any gear for this grind.

Alternatively, on auto, you can bring Pryce & Dewgong, Cheren & Stoutland, and Player & Torchic to the Ultra Hard Strike Course. If you’re in need of Buff Blends instead of Level-Up Manuals, then this is the perfect stage to grind.

Ensure that this team is at max level and has all their moves. No gear is required, though it’s recommended that you equip your best Pin so Stoutland can tank more damage for those occasions where Icy Wind just never lands when it needs to (it happens).

Potential Builds

As mentioned before, Pryce & Dewgong are pretty stunted in terms of power without their Lv. 3 Sync Move. But once we get a chance to level up the Sync Move (possibly after another Ice-type training event), then more builds will open up.

To further power up Ice Beam, we’ll eventually go for Freeze Synergy 8. But the real winner will probably be the Icy Wind build that will likely be the strongest build—with the Icy Wind: Accuracy and Icy Wind: Move Gauge Refresh, paired with Hail support from the grid.

Games are a longtime passion of mine starting from childhood when my mother bought me my very own Gameboy Color. I’ve been gaming ever since. I’m a self-proclaimed jack of all trades, with what I consider a wide skill set ranging from programming to photography. As the saying goes, a master of none is oftentimes better than a master of one.
