Pokémon Masters: Best Clair Sync Grid Build

The first Dragon-type training event with Sync Move upgrades is out. Two Dragon-type Sync Pairs have had their Sync Grids unveiled. One of these Sync Pairs is Clair & Kingdra! Are you wondering what the best build is?

The current best Sync Grid Build for Clair & Kingdra would be to go for Dragon Breath: Power, Dragon Breath Move Gauge Refresh, X Sp. Atk: MP Refresh, Special Reserves, and Dragon Guard.

Sync Grid Build

Total Sync Orb Cost: 750

Total Energy Used: 60

Total Stat Upgrades:

  • Defense + 5
  • Dragon Breath Power + 21
  • HP + 20
  • Sp.Atk + 40
  • Sp.Def + 5
  • Speed + 15
  • Speed + 5

Clair & Kingdra become fearsome with this build. Dragon Breath becomes a powerful two-bar move. With Dragon Guard and Special Reserves 6, any Dragon-type opponent foolish enough to face Clair & Kingdra will regret it!

Once this Sync Pair’s Lv. 3 Sync Move is unlocked, then Dragon Breath: Hostile Environment will improve Dragon Breath significantly.

How to farm Clair Sync Orbs

On auto, bring Clair & Kingdra and Rosa & Serperior to the Super Hard Level-Up Course. I found this to be the fastest auto method. Rosa & Serperior will help by using Time to Energize! when the move gauge is low. Sometimes the enemy Raichu will paralyze your team, slowing down your clear time.

Both Clair & Kingdra and Rosa & Serperior should be at max level (120 and 115, respectively). It’s recommended to bring your best bandana, Dragon-type or whichever gives more stats, to increase grind speed. You don’t, however, need gear for this grind.

Potential Builds

It’s possible to go for a Draco Meteor-based build instead of a Dragon Breath build. The only reason why it might not be good right now is because Clair & Kingdra’s Lv. 3 Sync Move isn’t available. Both Draco Meteor Move Gauge Refresh and Draco Meteor Status Quo are both locked.

It’s also possible to build Clair & Kingdra to be a little more defensive with Rain Gear and Raging Rain 5, but this requires setup and will likely be a niche build.

Games are a longtime passion of mine starting from childhood when my mother bought me my very own Gameboy Color. I’ve been gaming ever since. I’m a self-proclaimed jack of all trades, with what I consider a wide skill set ranging from programming to photography. As the saying goes, a master of none is oftentimes better than a master of one.
