THE SKELD is one of the most popular and common maps played in Among Us. This guide will explain vent routes, common tasks, sabotages, camera positions, and best ways to win as imposter or crewmate. The Skeld is the 2nd largest map in the game. THE SKELD Map The first thing you should know about The Skeld map is what each room is called. This will come in handy when you are either lying about your location or establishing an alibi. The Skeld Tasks in Rooms Common tasks are the tasks that everyone has and are the first tasks on the top of your task list. If you see someone do a common task that you don’t have, they are faking it and are the imposter. MedBay can be used to clear crewmates 100%. If you see someone scan and you try to scan you will see a waiting for player prompt. This means that the player is 100% crewmate. The right thing to do is for the 2 players to take turns scanning each other by cancelling their scans. If you notice in the image there are buttons with an X on them. If you press on them, it will close off all the openings and not let players in or out for a few seconds. The 4 Types of Sabotage in Skeld Electrical = All crewmates vision will be significantly reduced. Vision is reduced to the point where you can’t even see someone next to you. Communications = Tasks List, Admin, and Security Cameras are messed up and unusable. Not used very often since it can be ignored if you know where all your tasks are. Tasks can still be done when communications are down. Reactor Meltdown = Reactor will blow in 25 seconds. This requires two people to go to the reactor and hold down the button till both are pressed on top and bottom. If this cannot be done within the time limit, the crewmates will lose and the imposters win. Reactor must be fixed. O2 Shutdown = Oxygen is running out. A code must be inputted in Admin and O2 in order for this Sabotage to be fixed. If both Oxygen codes are not inputted before time is up, crewmates will die and lose and imposters will win. O2 must be fixed. Next up, the vents. Imposters can use vents to travel quickly on the map and get quick kills and establish an alibi. Vents do not all connect to each other on this map and it is impossible to vent from the left to the right or vice versa. One of the most important vent spots is the Security, MedBay, Electrical vent. A common tactic for imposters is to Sabotage lights so that people go to Electrical to fix them. Then kill someone quickly and vent away while the vision is still low. Admin Table and Security Cameras Admin Table and Security Camera is a resource that can be used by both Crewmate and Imposter to help further their plans. Crewmates can use it to confirm stories, alibis, and even catch a killer in the act. Imposters can use these resources to find people that are alone and easy to kill. Admin Table Usage When you enter the Admin room, there is a glowing white resource you can use, usually called Admin, that will show if people are in a room. It will not show specifically who is in that room, just that someone is in there. Dead bodies also show up as an icon if they were killed in a room. Useful for establishing alibi’s and possibly looking for bodies. For example, if someone calls an O2 sabotage and you see on the map an icon in the reactor. Chances are, that person is dead and O2 was called to pull people away from the body. Security Cameras If you go into the Security room you’ll see a big screen at the top of the room. This will allow you to look at certain hallways in the map. The top left camera shows the Weapons, O2, Navigation hallway all the way on the right side of the map.The top right camera shows the intersection hallway of Cafeteria, Admin, and Storage in the middle right side of the map.The bottom left camera shows the intersection hallway of Cafeteria, MedBay, and Upper Engine in the middle left side of the map. The bottom right camera shows the intersection hallway of Upper Engine, Security, Reactor, and Lower Engine on the left of the map. The Skeld Tips & Tricks When it comes to Skeld there are certain things you can do to increase your win rate. Crewmate Skeld Tips If you have MedBay, find someone else to do it with you. Don’t waste it and it is unsafe to do it alone since you can be killed through the vent. Use the Admin table to find dead bodies. This is really effective when someone calls a sabotage on far sides of the map. Electrical is a hot spot for deaths, avoid going alone. A good thing to do is go to lights right at the start of the round and instantly do it if it's called. A common imposter thing is to turn off lights and kill right away.The O2 Sabotage passcode is the same for both Admin and O2 and you can do it alone. Cameras are often overlooked so you can catch someone slipping and in the act of killing. Download, Garbage, and Gas are multi part tasks. If you see someone do 1 but not the other, they are likely an impostor. Imposter Skeld Tricks If you and a crewmate go to download in Electrical, vent to Security or MedBay to kill someone and vent back. They will have no idea you left since the download screen is quite big. Make sure the crewmate is doing download before venting!Check your common tasks, you don’t want to be voted out by not knowing to fake them.Reactor and Oxygen Sabotages are really effective since people have to do them and the timer is kind of short.Doors on this map are incredibly good. Because it's a set amount of time. Trapping someone can shave off a lot of time on your kill cooldown.Light plays in the beginning cause a lot of confusion and often lead to a free kill. Beware of the people that go to lights before it's called and do them instantly.Communication sabotage can take care of the camera campers. Venting back and forth between Security and MedBay can show you if anyone is on cameras. Do this before you come out of the vent so you know the coast is clear.If you want to sabotage while faking cameras, open your sabotage menu before going in.Do not open the Emergency button as killer because it stops your kill cooldown from going down.
