Arknights have a lot of options when it comes to operators and it can be overwhelming sometimes to choose who to promote and level. This guide will let you know about the 4 and 5 ★ operators that are exponentially better when promoted and leveled.
Some operators off the bat would be Shirayuki, Gavial, Cuora, Vigna, Silence, Texas, Skyfire, and Saria. These units are badass and get an insane new skill or trait that will help you dominate.
Low tier Operators
First off, all your lower tier operators are useful! If you need any operator to fill a role like Vanguard, Medic, or Sniper and don’t have a suitable one that you like, consider using the 3 ★ operators. Some notable ones are listed below.
Melantha, Lava, Hibiscus, Kroos, Lancet-2, and Castle-3 are the most notable and will carry you throughout many stages.
4 ★ Operators
These will be the majority of your operators and what you will find the most. Let’s get into who is actually good and what they do.
Shirayuki – When this operator is promoted to E1 they gain a new Skill.
That skill is Fatal Shuriken and it allows Shirayuki to throw a big shuriken and it stays at one spot slowing and damaging all enemies. It is extremely useful when dealing with big mobs and honestly looks so cool.
Gavial – This operator you can get from the credit store. The only requirement is that you spend credits which should not be a problem if you are doing the clues right. Check out our Store buying guide and Base Setup guide if you need help.
Her new skill is Vitality Restoration – Wide Range which turns her ST (single target) healing into an AoE (area of effect) healing. This skill gets stronger the lower your allies HP is.
Gavial’s Talent is Battlefield Medic which gives all Medics more Atk and Def when deployed.
Cuora – This unit can be obtained from the store in the Certificate Shop (Red).
Cuora’s new skill Shell Defense gives her more defense, heals herself, and allows her to block 4 enemies which is pretty rare in the game. She is an amazing tank and great for holding up enemies.
Her Talent is called Defense Specialist which gives you a 6% defense boost.
Vigna – This cute little operator turns out to be a beast when promoted. She is a Vanguard which gains DP when killing enemies. One of the highest DPS operators in the game!
Her new skill is Mallet Sound which increases her attack speed and damage.
Vigna’s Talent is Fierce Stabbing which makes her really great because it activates more often than you think and you will be shredding through operators and just killing enemies left and right—which is great because she gains DP for every enemy she kills.
One of my favorite operators in the game!
5 ★ Operators
Silence
This operator can be obtained from the free 5 ★ that they give you for joining the game. She is dope because of her new skill that is obtained after promotion.
Her new skill is Medical Drone, which gives you a drone that you can place on the field and heals all allies near it to almost full. Super great and can add a bit of clutch healing that you need on your team.
Talent is Booster Injection which raises all Medic’s attack speed when Silence is deployed.
Texas
Texas is a beast when promoted because of her ability to stun targets and deal mixed damage.
Her new skill is called Sword Rain which gives you DP instantly and deals Arts damage to all enemies nearby and stuns them for 2 seconds. It is an amazing skill that can lock up enemies and gives you DP at the same time.
Her Talent is Tactical Delivery which gives you 1 extra DP whenever Texas is in the squad.
Skyfire
This is an operator I do not have but really wish I did. Her ability changes her attacks into meteors which are cool and stuns enemies.
Her new skill is called Fire of Heaven and when activated her attack interval goes up and her auto attacks turn into meteors that fall down and stun enemies for a certain amount of time.
Her Talent is Arts Sniper which increases her damage by a percentage when enemies are blocked.
6 ★ Operators
I only want to mention this operator because her banner is coming up and she is really good. She is worth your headhunting and you might want to consider her because of how much she offers to a team.
Saria
This operator is a Defender which heals the allies around her with her skill.
Saria’s new skill is Medicine Dispensing which is so incredibly useful because she will be healing herself and allies while blocking enemies.
Her Talent that will be unlocked is Rhine Charged Suit which gives Saria an Atk and Def % boost for every 20 seconds she’s out, stacking up to 5 times. This is an amazing passive because as the round goes on she only gets stronger and harder to kill. Also because heals are based on Atk she will also be healing allies for more the longer the round goes on.
General Tips
Please know that just because an operator is high level, it does not mean they are doing the best. Ranking up the skill is just as important and gives you a huge boost in stats.
Also, all units can be used, it’s just a matter of how you use them. Even operators like Deepcolor have their place and should not be ignored. Although they fit very specific roles sometimes you need them to complete a stage if you don’t have the materials to E2 an operator.
