When playing Arknights for the first time it can be overwhelming to see how much stuff there is. From Orundum to Credits to Qualification Certificates and more, it can be quite confusing. This guide will explain each resource and how you should be spending them.
Quick tips if you need some information now. Visit the Credit Store every day and collect your daily credits. Then buy until you are under the 300 limit. Certificates can be bought whenever you have the resources, and Furniture I believe should be held off until you can get event exclusive ones. Let’s get into each part of the Store!
Cash Money?
If you do not intend to spend real life money on this game then skip to the Outfit Store section.
Recommended
This section of the Store is what the game thinks is best for you to improve quickly. If you want to spend some money and support the company, consider getting the Monthly Card. It has great value at $4.99 a month and offers 6 Originite Prime, 200 Orundums per day for 30 days, and 1 Sanity Potion per day for 30 days.
Originium
This is where you trade real money for Originium. Originium can really help you get ahead in the game and can be used for almost anything. Obviously the most expensive one is the best bang for your buck and will provide the most value, but remember to budget and not go crazy on the spending.
For the free Originium that the game will give you through story completion and quests it might be tough deciding what to spend it on. Personally I will be spending mine on new Operator Outfits. I find that in the game you will eventually get what you need to increase and upgrade your operators. But getting my favorite unit to look amazing is more happiness than just getting my operator stronger. Generally people like to use Originium on Outfits, Sanity (energy), and Headhunting (recruiting).
Packs
Packs is where you will find your bundle deals. For a price you can get a stack of summoning tickets or furniture sets or EXP tickets. Here you will also find a free gift every time you hit a level multiple of 5. For example, 5, 10, 15, 20 and so on. These free packs will give you a slight boost and should be collected when you can.
The other Enhancement Pack that they offer is bought through Originium. They give you a worthwhile trade for Orundum and other materials but you’ll be trading away precious Originium. I stopped around Lv.25 to see what else I can use my Originium on. The Pro Enhancement Packs will always be there so don’t worry about them expiring.
If you want to know other places to get Orundum then consider looking into Daily Missions, Weekly Missions, Annihilation Mode, and Factory. For the Factory you need to have one at least level 3 and you’ll be able to produce Originium Shards which can be traded at the Trading Post (Lv.3) for Orundum.
Outfit Store
The Outfit Store is the place where you’ll find cosmetic changes to your operator. Currently at the time of writing there are no outfits but you can be sure that when they come out I will be rocking them. This will cost you Originite Prime (Originium) so choose wisely and carefully.
Certificate
The Certificate shop is a great place to get items. As you can see there are 3 different types of Certificates and 3 different shops categorized by color. The image below will show you how you can obtain each of them.
Commendations (Green)
This is where all those duplicates come in handy. When you get a duplicate of an operator you will receive a Token and a Qualification Certificate. Tokens can be used to increase the potential of your unit and do things such as lower Deployment Costs, raise ATK, and lower Redeployment Costs.
Qualification Certificates (Green) can also be gotten through Side Missions, Weekly Missions and Log-in rewards.
The Commendations Shop has 3 sections and you can only reach the next section by purchasing all of the items in the previous section. For example, buy all of section 1 to get access to section 2. This store refreshes every month so do not worry about rushing to buy all the items. Best items to get would be the Headhunting Permit and Orundum. Here is also a good source of promoting materials.
*TIP: When you already have a max potential operator and get another duplicate you can trade in that extra token for Qualification Certificates. Check the Certificate Shop on the bottom left where it says Token to trade in your duplicates.
Distinctions (Yellow)
Possibly the rarest of the Certificates since it requires multiple duplicates and first time pulls on a unit. The most notable things in this section would be the 6 or 5 ★ operators and the Headhunting Tickets.
Save up your Distinction Certificates to purchase these higher tier operators as they will only be in stock for as long as the Standard Pull Banner is around. But make sure it is an operator you really want or need since these certificates get very rare later in the game.
The Headhunting Tickets improve as you buy them in terms of value. Only buy these if you can afford the whole set which is 258 Distinction Certificates (Yellow) for 38 Headhunting Permits. Refreshes Monthly.
Shop Vouchers (Red)
This is the store where your Purchase Certificates are used. These can be acquired through Log-in rewards, Pinboard Missions, Daily, Weekly, and the Tough Siege Supplies quest. I have read that this store does not rotate often and what you see will last for a while.
Notable purchases are Cuora and Feater operators. If you don’t have them then consider adding them to your team. Cuora is a great defensive unit that has a skill that can allow her to block up to 4 enemies.
If you are in desperate need of some Potential upgrades then you can purchase them here but otherwise there is no need to try and farm these certificates. If you do your daily and weekly missions you’ll be fine.
Furniture Store
All those nuts and bolts (Furniture Parts) you obtained from Log-in rewards, dailies, weeklies, side missions, Supplies mission quest, and recycling Furniture can be used here. Don’t let the icon confuse you, they are both the same thing. Furniture is bought here in order to increase the Ambience in your Dormitories and to make them look nice.
I would advise against using your Originite Prime here since it can be used for better things. But, if you really like a set or piece of furniture then I say do whatever makes you happy!
Try to save your Furniture Parts for a limited time furniture event. At these events you’ll be able to buy cool and exclusive furniture for your Dormitory. Always be trying to max out your Ambience as it gives you better morale recovery rates but be mindful of going over the limit.
Credit Store
This is the place that makes the Reception Room worthwhile. Check out the Base Setup Guide for information on this place. After you’ve figured out how to get credits you now need to spend them. The game only allows you to hold 300 Credits per day. Basically telling you to spend as much as you can until you are under 300.
When shopping in the Credit store try to buy everything on sale and the operators whenever they get unlocked. Operators Gavial and Courier appear in the store every time you hit a Credit Consumed Milestone. Buy them for the Potentials and Duplicates.

Playing On PC
When it comes to playing Arknights on the PC, check out BlueStacks. This is what we use to play all of our mobile games on a 60 fps no lag setup. BlueStacks lets you play multiple games at once with its ability to run multiple instances.
Pro tip, use this when rerolling so that you can reroll a bunch of times at once instead of one at a time.
