Ko~ko~da~yo~!! In Arknights there are two notable levels that you have to care about. Those being operators’ levels and player level.
Operators can be leveled up through Battle Records which can be obtained from the Tactical Drill Supply stages. This is not the only way but it is the best way to get better Battle Records quickly.
Player Leveling
In Arknights you level up alongside your operators. Everytime you reach a new level you will be awarded your max Sanity (energy) and a new Sanity limit. Every 5 levels you will also get a free bonus enhancement pack in the Store. Alongside this free pack there will be another pack that unlocks that costs Originite Prime. This one is up to you but after a certain point I wouldn’t purchase any more if you are trying to save up for outfits. I stopped at pack Lv. 25.
If you ever want to trade Originite Prime for Orundum, check the Store first and wait for the level enhancement packs. They will give you the same amount of Orundum plus way more other stuff.
If you want to level up quickly you have to be on the game and spending your Sanity as soon as it is recharged. Also take advantage of the free Sanity gifts and use them wisely. Other ways to get Sanity would be to spend Originite Prime. Again, if you’re more of a free-to-play player then this is not recommended. This is a solo game so there really is no need to rush anything in the game as you will eventually get it.
Operator Leveling
In order to clear more content in the game you are going to have to increase your operators’ levels. Operators get significantly stronger once you level them and promote them. A Promotion gives an operator a new level cap, Talent, and access to a new skill.
Although leveling is important, ranking up the skills are just as important and will benefit you so much. If you E1 a unit make sure you get them to at least rank 4 skill. Rank 4 gives a ton more compared to rank 3 and worth the investment.
As you can see above my Texas has been promoted once and now has a level cap of 70 when it used to be 50. Also a new skill has appeared and Talent was unlocked. Promoting Texas again will not unlock another skill but will change her artwork, increase level cap and improve the Talent.
In order to promote you will need materials and to have reached the level cap.
These materials are difficult to find and make, which is why it is very hard to E2 an operator. One of the easier things to do is to reach the level cap and for that you need to have Battle Records. Battle Records can be obtained from log-in rewards, Store, Factory, Missions, and Tactical Drill Supply Stages. This guide will be focused on farming LS-5 as it gives the most and is relatively hard to complete.
LS-5! Farming Battle Records
When it comes to clearing LS-5 you’re going to have to make sure to bring enough healers and beefy tanks.
This is the team I used to clear the stage. Any of these units can be replaced with a stronger version of themselves and the run will go way smoother.
If you don’t have Texas someone like Fang or Vanilla can do the job. Make sure they are high level and at least skill upgraded to 4.
If you don’t have Silence you can use Ansel or really any other good healer you pull.
Another point should be that skills should be used as soon as you can. The timing on some of them can be the difference between your operator dying or not. I ran this on practice mode because I didn’t have enough Sanity at the time. But, you should also run this on practice mode until you can 100% clear it. Remember you get 30 practice tries a day, use them!
Initial setup should be drop your Vanguards as soon as you can. I drop Texas on the right and Plume on the left.
Then drop Kroos once you can.
After this your Vanguard skill should activate and you should have enough DP for another one.
Next up is your healer, I prefer dropping Gavial here because she’s great. If you have an AoE (area of effect) healer then the run will be a lot easier and is highly recommended here instead of Gavial.
Next up, drop your decently leveled up tank. I drop Beagle here, but make sure to wait until one of the enemies is close to passing into the blue zone. This way Kroos will be able to shoot the target in the top left where your tank is. It’s easy to time once the game goes into slow motion mode after selecting an operator.
After your tank drop Lava or an AoE caster as soon as you can. The caster has to be strong as you have to clear at least 1 enemy in the top or else one can pass through. This should be no problem if you have the same level as mine. (E1 Lv.35)
The next timing is important, you must drop an Anti-air operator like Jessica down before the drones spawn. After she clears at least 2 drones you can retreat her to drop a healer. If you’re doing well and have an AoE healer you can go for a 3rd drone.
After you kill 2 or 3 drones retreat Jessica as soon as you can and drop another healer. I use Hibiscus to show that you can use a lower tier one.
If you’re using Courier, wait til he uses his skill one more time and then switch him out for Cuora. You have to switch out to a tank because the enemies that are next are super strong and tanky.
After Plume is done wrecking enemies retreat her and drop your other healer next. I drop Silence but really it can be anyone. This is to ensure that your tank or Cuora does not die.
After your top side is done retreat both Beagle and Lava so you can place more units to clear the big bad guys.
I retreat them for Amiya and Courier again for that extra damage. The caster or other unit can be whoever you want as long as they deal a ton of damage. At this point you should have no worries and just keep using skills whenever they come up to make the run faster.
You’re done! Congrats on clearing LS-5!
LS-5 will be your main place at collecting Battle Records whenever you need to level up your units. So, you should keep optimizing and finding the fastest way to clear it resetting the Auto Deploy.
