Accompanied with the new event Grani and the Knight’ Treasure is the banner with an increased rate for pulling Skadi. Skadi is a bounty hunter with impressive combat skills and who prefers to do things alone. How good is she? And is she worth your Orundum?
Although she is a great operator, personally, I don’t believe she is worth Headhunting for. Skadi is a Guard with very high Attack and Health but lacks in Defense. Her skill 3 gives her a boost in Attack, Defense and Max HP but it has a high SP cost and will take a while to charge. A more in depth analysis below.
Skills, Trait, Talent
In order to judge an operator we must check out what skills and tools she is working with. These are all at Rank 1.

Looking at her skills you can see that she is all about killing enemies hard and fast. Her Skill 2 brings an interesting element to the table. Drop her down against tanky bosses like Big Bob and she will do an amazing job in cutting them down. Also, she has a Talent that can go well with her Skill 2. How does she fare against the current competition?
Skadi vs Other Guards
So far in the game Skadi and SilverAsh are the only 6 ★ Guard operators in the game. For that reason alone she can stand above the rest of the other Guards. Since her level cap is higher and she is able to obtain more stats then other Guards, it isn’t really a fair fight. Also, since SilverAsh and Skadi specialize in different things they are also hard to compare. SilverAsh is more of a Ranged Attacker and Skadi is an in your face Melee type.
The reason I say in the beginning that I personally will not be pulling for Skadi is because of Ch’en. She is another Guard but hasn’t come out yet. She is going to be the next banner and she is an absolute beast of an operator! She has the ability to do high burst damage while stunning the enemy afterwards. Since I am mostly F2P I will be saving my Orundum for the upcoming Ch’en.
Another issue that I have with Skadi, is that she comes off very plain. Although she is extremely strong and a good operator, I want the operators that are flashy and have cool abilities. Since the game has nice visuals I would like it if moves and skills looked better and stood out more. Skadi’s skills are very lackluster and really only involve buffing herself.
*Side Note – The ingame content right now can be cleared fairly easily with just the Guard, Melantha. So unless you really like her she is not necessary to pull for.
When To Use Skadi
Skadi can be effectively used in two different ways. She can either be used as a drop down Boss killer or she can be a frontline that thins out and kills enemies here and there.
If you were to use Skadi as a Boss killer I suggest using her Skill 2. Whenever you are in need of assistance you drop Skadi down and watch her go to work on the enemy. If there happens to be more than 1 Boss that’s fine too since one of her Talents allow her to be redeployed faster.
If Skadi were to be used on the frontline then give her that Skill 3 and wait for big mobs to pop it. Since her Defense isn’t very good she should be near a healer to keep her healthy. This setup allows Skadi to kill off enemies before you get totally swarmed and thus saving you from defeat. Be careful when a Boss comes and make sure to use her Skill then so she doesn’t die.
Overall Thoughts
I think that Skadi is a plain looking but extremely strong operator. If you like her artwork and want a badass operator that can kill enemies like nothing then she is your gal. Otherwise, I would say save up for someone like Ch’en who is coming soon!
