Arknights: How to Clear Annihilation 2 400/400 Guide

This is a continuation from the article about Annihilation 1. Clearing both Annihilation runs will net you an insane amount of rewards. The rewards being: up to over 100k LMD, 1600+ Orundum, and over 80 Battle Records.

This one will be harder so make sure you get those levels up! Make sure you have the right team as well. The run requires a lot of positioning and specific operators. I will explain each of the operators you need and where to place them.

Annihilation: Lungmen Outskirts Team Composition

Vanguards

At least 1 Vanguard is needed. The Vanguard is the only source of DP so you need one! I used Texas but Courier works just fine.

Snipers

2 Snipers at least. Preferably 1 Anti-air Sniper and 1 AoE (area of effect) Sniper. An AoE Sniper is necessary because there are a group of enemy casters that will destroy you if you let them. I used Kroos and Shirayuki but Jessica, Kroos, and Catapult work just fine.

Guards

Bring 1 Guard for high damage. I used Melantha which works great.

Medics

Bring at least 3 Medics, if your operators are not leveled up properly then you have to bring 3. The main reason is to help your Defender survive against those red samurais. I used Gavial, Hibiscus, and Silence. If you don’t have Silence then use Ansel.

Casters

Bring an AoE Caster and a ST (single target) Caster for that Arts damage. You don’t have to bring a ST Caster and instead you can bring another Sniper. I used Gitano and Amiya. Alternatively you can use Lava and Jessica.

Defenders

Bring 1 Defender and make sure they are leveled up and well. You will need someone very tanky for the really strong guys. I used Cuora which can be obtained in the Certificate Shop (Red).

Specialist

Bring 1 push and 1 pull Specialist! This one is super important and will help you so much. Bring Shaw and Cliffheart or any pull/push operator. But, make sure you have one of each. Literally any of them work and don’t even need high levels.

Levels, Skills, and Promotion

The levels are important for this stage and you need to make sure they are properly leveled to survive the onslaught. All operators should at least be E1 (promoted once) and around level 40. Of course, the higher level the better. Specialists do not need to be leveled but will help if they are. Cliffheart can stay level one but try to get skill rank to 4. Shaw should level up to increase tankiness and survivability.

Have all operators at skill 4 or higher! Also please remember that if you have better operators then use them! You are not limited to these options but just in the category range. So if you have someone like Siege or Skyfire use them! They will make your run so much easier.

Step by Step Guide

First drop your Vanguard for a steady stream of DP and an AoE Caster for damage.

Then place the AoE Sniper for easier clearing.

Now, drop your push Specialist. Shaw works great here and is very important because the Wraith Leader is very tanky and does not get blocked. By placing Shaw here he gets taken care of no problem.

When you have DP drop your Medic. Try to keep the order the same because if you drop your Medic before Shaw the enemies will target Shaw and that’s not good.

After that, drop your Guard for more DPS (damage per second).

Drop another Medic to keep your Sniper healthy and facing up, where the tank will go.

When you get enough DP drop your pull Specialist. Cliffheart works great since he can be obtained for free if you just log in 7 days. He does not need a high level, just rank 4 skill.

After that, drop your Sniper for more damage and better clear speed.

Once you have enough DP, you’ll want to drop your Defender and just chill for a bit.

At 255 kills the Wraith Leaders will come out and if you have Shaw placed correctly then this will be no problem. After you kill the 2nd one, retreat Shaw.

Once Shaw is able to be redeployed drop him down to help clear. Save your skills when around 300 kills because the Red Avenger Samurai guy is super strong. When he gets below half health he does an insane amount of damage. Have your abilities ready when he’s about to be below half health.

When the Red Avenger starts to move (324 kills) retreat your Vanguard and drop a Medic. If you have 3 Medics your tank should be fine. Remember to pop skills.

After Cliffheart kills an enemy at 333 or 334 retreat her because you will need her elsewhere soon.

At 350 kills, after the Red Avenger dies, drop Cliffheart again to pull the enemy caster to their death.

This is important because if left alone that one caster would take out your Shaw and you might get overrun by enemies later on. Once that 1 enemy caster is gone, retreat Cliffheart and place her back where she was before when you can.

Redeploy Cliffheart and at this point you should be good. If you need more DPS, retire your AoE Sniper and drop another Sniper or ST Caster in the back.

A Sniper might be better since the Red Avengers are weaker to physical damage. Make sure to time your Defender skill properly so it can soak up all the damage. Use the skill when the Red Avengers are below half or about to be there.

Retreat Shaw and place more damage dealers down. After the Red Avengers are down it should be a breeze.

Congrats!! You’ve completed Annihilation 2 Lungmen: Outskirts, if you had any trouble check your operator levels and skill ranks. Increase them if necessary and use better operators if you have them.
